| 1986 Port Huron Northern High School Football Team
Were undefeated during the regular season nine wins and no defeats. This was head coach Craig Dahlke's first year as head coach of the football team. Another first for the Huskies was the clenching of a berth in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Class "A" State football playoffs. In recording it's 9-0 record, the Huskies posted six shutouts. In the first playoff game against state powerhouse Troy High School, the Huskies posted a dramatic 13-7 victory. The huskies, then 10-0, advanced to the Region 3 State Finals against the #1 Class "A" team in the state Sterling Heights Stevenson High School. Stevenson defeated the Huskies and went on to win the Class "A" State Championship. Captains of the 1986 Huskies included #7 Matt Troy, #74 Jeff Davis, #48 Sean Shagena and #69 Dave Bostater.
