Josh Rawlings

Josh Rawlings attended Fort Gratiot Middle School and Port Huron Northern, where he excelled in sports as well as academics.

Rawlings earned a varsity letter for four years in track and field, three years in basketball and two years in football.

At Northern, Rawlings played on the offensive line where he earned the nickname “The House” for his 6-foot-5, 245-pound frame. He had unusual speed and agility for his size. Those attributes caught the eye of several NCAA Division I recruiters.

After sorting out various college offers, Rawlings chose to attend the University of Minnesota on a full-ride scholarship. He was not only red-shirted his freshman year but also was switched to the defensive line. From his sophomore year through his junior season, Rawlings started on defense. He moved back to the offensive unit as a fifth-year senior.

Following graduation, Rawlings was signed as a free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was released by the Chiefs after the final preseason game but was quickly picked up on waivers by the New England Patriots.

Rawlings opted to play in NFL Europe and was the No. 1 pick of the Frankfort Galaxy. He turned in an impressive season in Frankfort as he landed a spot on the All-NFL Europe Team. His NFL career ended with two active seasons and two practice squads seasons.

Rawlings lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife, Ali, and two children – Tatum, a junior in high school and Ayden, a fifth-grader. The couple’s oldest child Tegan is a sophomore at Santa Clara University in California.
