Winner of five US National Titles and more than 250 trophies in skeet and trap shooting. In 1937 became first ever to win three National Titles in one shoot – .410 gauge, .28 gauge and high over all. In 1939 won World's .20 and .28 gauge breaking 99/100 in each event. Set world record of 299/300 and tied world record of 100 straight in .28 gauge. Captain of all-state team and member of Sports Afield All-America team in 1941.
